BUILD YOUR OWN MEANING OF SUCCESS AND WORK TOWARDS IT.
“Success is a journey, not a destination” — Ben Sweetland
It seems these days more and more people are being driven by the expectations of its environment and of society, and by what it’s success for them, as if we should all achieve the same goals. The commercial system and consumerism convince us to want to achieve its meaning of success, a meaning that for me is vain and meaningless. I invite you to think from your own perspective and give yourself your own answers about what you want to achieve in life, regardless of what others think about it.
We are all unique, and we want different things out of life, regardless of what our environment sells us as desirable. Whatever we are striving for, we all want it to work out well. We all want to succeed in an area that matter to us.
Regardless of what success is for you and the things you want to achieve in your life, it’s very important for you to understand that you cannot get different or better results if you don’t change your habits. If you are not satisfied with the place where you are in life, and if you pretend that you will get to a better state of being by repeating the same patterns of behaviour, you are out of reality. Things don’t work that way, if you want different results in your life, you are going to have to act differently.
Most people don’t run life, they allow life to run them. I invite you to take responsibility of your current situation and of the actions that will take you to your desired destination. Every one of us struggle on some area of our life, there aren’t perfect humans with perfect lives, think about this: ¿What if every painful experience in your life was sent to make you better? I strongly believe that the way we feel about everything in our life, is our life, so be grateful on your journey and learn from every circumstance. We decide how we are going to live our lifes and what meaning we give to every moment of them. We do not decide what shows up, but we do decide how we react to what shows up, choose reacting positively.
Don’t worry about what others do, don’t get unhappy by what other people have and you don’t, focus on building your own meaning of success and don’t let the expectations of others change it.
¿what are you doing to achieve your unique meaning of success?
With love and passion for helping you grow,
Daniel.
