LIVE IN THE NOW: IT’S THE BEST TIME IN WHICH YOU CAN.

In many ways, we’re less connected than ever: to our beloved ones, to our purpose, to ourselves, to the present moment. We don’t live in the now.

If not now, when?” — Eckhart Tolle

Do you ever catch yourself daydreaming about something that happened in the past? Or are you thinking about the future? Most of us do this every single day.

Live in the now

Have you ever noticed how often we mentally leave the present moment and begin obsessing about the past or future? When we live in the now, we stop worrying about what can happen in our lives and regretting our past mistakes and failures. Worries and regrets only exist in our mind, not in reality.

I want to invite you to stop occasionally throughout the day and simply ask to yourself: do I know where I are right now, and what I’m doing? I think that happiness begins with enjoying the little things of life, and that’s impossible if you’re not connected with your present moment. When you’re thinking about the past or the future, you’re not in it.

Consequently, if you want to achieve success and happiness and live the life you want, start by experiencing the present moment for the gift that it is, and be grateful about it. Because as you find joy in the small things in front of you, you’ll start attracting more positive situations into your life.

How to live in the now?

For you to live in the now: focus on what is happening and what you need to do right now. No more comparing or hoping for things to get better. Just deal with what is and what must be done, accept all your life’s experiences and build through them.

Don’t wait until tomorrow, which turns into next week, next month, and next year. The future is not promised to any of us. The time to live like you mean is now!

Finally, I want to give you three short advices that will help you live in the now:

  1. Let go of the past, it’s gone. I’m not saying you forget what you have passed through. On the contrary, please take the lessons with you.
  2. Stop obsessing about the future. Don’t get caught up worrying and daydreaming about the future. However I recommend you have a very clear purpose, a very clear vision, because it will be easier for you to make decisions if you know where you are going.
  3. Practice everyday mindfulness. This is a habit I’ve acquired this 2018: instead of letting your mind wander, let normal everyday moments become mindful moments that connect you with yourself and that help you live in the now.

With love and passion for helping you grow,

Daniel.
