Beliefs control how our lives turn out. They are so powerful that they determine our life and career trajectory.

Every area of your life (mental, spiritual, physical, family, financial, personal, and career) is based entirely on what you think, know, and believe to be the right way to live.

If your goal is happiness or satisfaction in life, everything you know to be the secret to happiness informs your actions to achieve that outcome.

Whatever you hold on to as the secret to your happiness is how you invest your time or live your life. That’s why letting go of things that do not serve us is vital to our happiness.

Executive Director of the Design Program at Stanford and author of Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life could not be more right when he said, “Dysfunctional Belief: Happiness is having it all. Reframe: Happiness is letting go of what you don’t need.”

One of the best things that has contributed to my life satisfaction is letting go of what I cannot change — things beyond my control.

It has done more for my inner peace than anything I have ever pursued as the key to my happiness.
