Mature

It’s Probably my favorite word in the English language.

When I hear it or read it, I can’t help but imagine a long journey of failure, of ups and downs, a weary soul, and a tired but relaxed person. Someone who has done enough, seen enough, experienced enough to stop worrying about life, to stop worrying about tomorrow, to just focus on what matters today.

Confident, Not necessarily because you are sure of yourself, but mainly because you don’t worry about the results. You’re free from the burden of solacement.

Because the thing is, nobody knows what the hell they’re doing. We only get comfortable walking in the dark. And those who succeed probably actually enjoy it.

And the thing about maturity, it’s not age bound, it’s mostly by experiences. Experiences that are like fire that shape wood and clay.

So go out there, do that stupid thing you are hesitant to do (just don’t hurt someone) and you’ll find peace in the resolution. You won’t be disappointed, believe me. You won’t be disappointed when what you’re looking for is further than the direct results.

Try, and by the time it ends, whatever the results, you’ll find that you have matured beautifully…

That’s until you fall again.
