I read Who Moved My Cheese? years ago. Long story short? Keep life simple. Adapt quickly or get left behind. Let go of fear. Find your own path. No one else can do it for you. It helped me through a lot. Career pivots. Relationship resets. Financial ups and downs. The cheese moves. I’ve made peace with that. I liked the clarity of Spencer Johnson’s book. The metaphor made sense. Life changes. You adjust. Keep going. But since Trump, it feels like someone didn’t just move the cheese.

An entire kitchen is on fire.

They are burning the whole damn system.

I tried to ignore MAGA. They changed my reality anyway. They lit up the rules that support billions of people. And left us standing in the smoke, wondering, “What now?” I thought I could stay in my lane, keep working, and stay sane. But when your reality changes this hard, you feel it whether you watch the news or not. I watched systems I trusted collapse.

My investments, pensions and sources of income have all taken a hit. And I’m not alone. It’s a breakdown for all. The damage rippled. It hit regular folks who care less about left or right. Not everyone wears a red hat, but we’re all breathingthe same fumes.

The wisdom of great minds. My essays cross between psychology, philosophy and self-improvement.
