What if Vincent Van Gogh Had an Instagram Page?

Imagine if Vincent Van Gogh had an Instagram page back in his time.
He starts posting his paintings with vibrant colors, thick brushstrokes, expressive lines, and distorted forms. He’s excited to share his unique artwork with the world, and he checks his feed regularly for likes and comments.
Unfortunately, he gets mostly crickets.
A friend tells him to post more frequently, and that he needs to experiment with the time of day he posts. “Not many people are scrolling in the middle of the night, so post your work in the morning, around lunchtime, and just after dinner,” his friend suggests.
Vincent listens to his friend and starts posting regularly, throughout the day when more people are likely to be online.
Sure enough, he gets some comments, but they’re not good.
“Dude, what’s with the hyped-up color, crude brushstrokes, and emotionally charged images? Maybe you should find a good atelier and master an academic approach instead of this tacky, exaggerated style you’re pushing,” one person writes in the comments.
Another commenter adds, “Why the ridiculous sunflowers and swirly stars? My kid could paint…
