As a personality specialist and coach, I can’t help but notice patterns when it comes to people — and food and diets are no exception. The question that has always been on my mind throughout all my observations as well as my own struggles eating healthy is:

“Does it take a certain type of person to commit to a strict way of eating?”

Unsurprisingly, certain types do seem to fare better on a strict diet than other types. This might sound like bad news if you are not one of these personalities, but it doesn’t mean you cannot thrive on the way of eating you chose. It just means you might have to tweak it and make it sustainable for your lifestyle and for yourself — as well as for your personality.

Which types fare the best and which types struggle the most with a strict way of eating?

You’re probably wondering who are the types that tend to fare the best, and who are the types who might struggle the most with this. If you know anything about the MBTI, you might have guessed the INTJ/ISTJ types to fare the best and the INFP/ISFP types to struggle the most (if you aren’t yet familiar with the MBTI, check out my list here to learn more).
