Using Magic Mirror 3
Brief walkthrough on the new features
We’re thrilled to show you a whole new version of Magic Mirror plugin for Sketch.
New Inspector Panel
We’ve a new UI which seamlessly integrates with Sketch. It only shows up when you need it.
Layer Selector
Most important feature of all. Specifying the source to perspective transform. We now sort the layers in ascending order, and you can type to search for that layer as well.
New version supports Artboard, Symbols, and Slice*.
Smart Selection
Smart Selection supports artboard, symbols, groups, as well as multiple selection. The corresponding layers will show in the inspector panel ready for you to create the magic.
Rotate
Depending on your intended results, you might want to rotate the image inside. Just click the “Rotate” button in the inspector panel.
Flip
Similar as the rotate button, you might want to flip the image inside to create some reflection or mirroring effect. Just click the “Flip” button in the inspector panel.
Refresh
Reapplies all the setup for the selected layers, for example when the source artboard has something changed.
Image Quality Selector
If you design @1x resolution, You might wanted to export higher resolutions for retina displays. Setting higher image quality will make your Sketch file larger, so always pick the right resolution that fits.
We have improved the algorithms behind, that allows us to create images with more accurate color and quality.
Layer Excluding Checkbox
Some layers never needed to be shown. Just uncheck that and we no longer include that layer in the Layer Selector.
Disable/Enable
If things goes wrong and you don’t want Magic Mirror panel to be shown automatically, just select “disable” in the plugin menu option.
Compatibility
We’ve been testing Magic Mirror 3 in Sketch 41.2, macOS El-Capitan and Sierra.
