Changing Directions

I had a dream a few years ago where it appeared I had been riding I-285, a highway in Atlanta commonly referred to as “285", for a while and made a decision to get off on one of the exits. For those of you who are familiar with this highway, you know that 285 is a big circle. It wasn’t until years later that I had the revelation of what this dream meant. It was almost like my subconscious had been telling me to make a change or that change was coming. I eventually did begin to make changes (some out of my control) and truthfully my life began to change.

How many times have you been in a situation or situations that you felt have kept reappearing and wondered what was going on? or How many times have you set out to reach a goal and your ambitions were thwarted by something or somebody? I know I’ve dealt with my fair share and there are some things you definitely won’t be able to control but I’d like to share two words of wisdom I’ve held onto over the years to help anyone facing similar circumstances:

1) “When you see crazy coming cross the street.” — Iyanla Vanzant (Orig. applied when speaking on love relationships but I’m using in general context of change when you see red flags.)

2) “Be not weary in well doing, for you will reap if you faint not.” — Galatians 6:9 (The Bible.)
