Do you admire Peruvian food? Do you like Japanese cuisine? If you do, then get ready for the greatest Peruvian and Japanese fusion. Osaka is a Peruvian and Japanese mixed restaurant. They serve stunning sushi and some basic Peruvian dishes such as quinoa. Osaka has two locations. The first location is in El Polo, which is a small mall in Surco District Lima. The second location is in Pardo y Aliaga San Isidro. Osaka is well known for its incredible tasty and well made sushi. It is also known for the synthesis of Peruvian and Japanese food.

To visit the Pardo y Aliaga Osaka location and coming from San Isidro, you take Camino Real Avenue and at the eleventh block turn to the left, this is Pardo y Aliaga, street 660. When you get to Osaka, there is a lady with a computer sitting on a chair in front of a desk made of rock. There are stairs taking you to the lower level, which is the actual restaurant. You sit in a comfortable chair and can see the chefs cooking that magical sushi. You wait for the waiter as well dressed as if he was going to the Oscars. He comes near to you so he can gently ask, “ what is your order. A great quality of Osaka is that you can even see how your order is cooked because. You can even see and smell it from your table! It smells like heaven. When your order finally arrives to your table after a while, you get those fancy chopsticks ready for action!

Each time you go to Osaka, your mouth will water thinking of the delightful sashimi, including salmon, tuna, cooked shrimp and many more. Another splendid quality are the makis, including tiger roll with its rich sauce, Ceviche roll, Pyramid, and my favorite, the Maki Furai. It is covered with fried crust and includes salmon, avocado and cream cheese. You can always feel that crunch of the fried crust in your teeth after every single bite. Lets not forget about their drinks though, they have chicha which is purple corn juice, frozen lemonade, Serranito, Pisco (for adults), and much more! You will have the finest experience with the amazing flavor of the sushi. Every single bite is like fireworks exploding in your stomach. The best part is, every sushi contains different ingredients and when you eat one roll, you can taste each of their prodigious flavor. For dessert, maybe a molten lava cake with ice cream, or as they call it, “Volcan OSK”. It looks like a real volcano because it has hot fudge inside of the chocolate brownie cake. When you insert the spoon to get the first stunning bite, the hot fudge comes right out slowly, waiting for you to devour it.

Osaka restaurant truly passes the limit in greatness. Even based on Fodor’s Review, Osaka is much more than a Japanese restaurant. It serves Peruvian standards such as ceviches and tiraditos, as well as Chinese dishes like wontons stuffed with grilled shrimp, and broiled scallops braised in a spicy sauce. You will absolutely agree with Fodor’s review, because there is absolutely no doubt Osaka is just a Japanese restaurant. It s further more than that. My personal experience with ethos was very good because all the chefs seemed professional. So did the waiters.

Osaka has 4.5 star rating and it deserved each one of them. 303/478 people said it was an excellent restaurant based on TripAdvisor. It has 4.5 stars in its food, 4.5 stars in service, 4.0 stars in quality and price, and finally 4.0 stars in the ambient! It is truly the greatest sushi restaurant in all Peru. Basically all of its TripAdvisor reviews are 4.5 or 5.0 rating! As Angie H said, it is Exquisite! It brings Japan to Lima and gives its food a Peruvian touch.

This experience could not have been more positive. I would recommend it to the whole world if I could. If you have the most minimal chance of going to Osaka restaurant and it might take you hours to get there or have a very bad issue and doubt going, then it doesn’t matter, it will be worth going to Osaka. Osaka is the place where sushi is truly appreciated.
