Francine, the Missing Lowes Cat is Back Home!

She simply wanted to check out another location

Francine was a celebrity at the Richmond, Lowes store. She wandered about eight years ago and decided to stay. Once she decided to move, she became an ambassador to Lowe’s customers.

Then one day back in September, someone realized that they hadn’t seen her in a couple of days. Someone put on their sleuthing hat and checked the security cameras only to see Francine checking out a delivery truck, which promptly took off with Francine in it.

The truck was headed to Garysburg, North Carolina, and sure enough, Francine was spotted wandering around the distribution center. Animal control set out traps for the wandering cat, and after a few days, she took the bait.

It was 17 days after being reported missing when the Richmond Lowes was alerted that Francine had been captured. Two of their favorite employees jumped into a car and headed to Garysburg to pick up their wandering feline.

Francine was treated to a special ceremony when she arrived back at her special place. Now, she has the privilege of wearing an AirTag to keep track of her wandering.
