QueQ has raised $2.9M in total. We talk with Rungsun Promprasith, its CEO.

PetaCrunch: How would you describe QueQ in a single tweet?

Rungsun Promprasith: QueQ helps people to spend their time wisely at crowded places like shopping mall, hospital and government service centers.

PC: How did it all start and why?

RP: We faced and realised the pain of queuing 4 years ago. The question we asked was ‘why people need to wait for their turn only by lining up?’ So we started creating a new way of queuing and approached the restaurant market first. Today we have expanded to other markets which have the same pain of making people waste their time for nothing.

PC: What have you achieved so far?

RP: The platform became well-known. Now expansion is the key. We are expanding to 3 more countries besides adding other features which make people spend their time more and more wisely.

PC: How will you use your recent funding round?

RP: We plan to divide the funds as follow:

  • 30% for the team scaling both at the HQ and in each country,
  • 40% for hardware investment,
  • 10% for external investment,
  • 20% for PR, Marketing and Branding

PC: What do you plan to achieve in the next 2–3 years?

RP: We want to make a huge impact as much as we can in as many as countries. In a short term we focus to make it in 5 countries first.
