We have a Japanese Anenome at our front door, and it seems to be an irresistable lure for bees.

Anytime I go out there, they are all over it.

Sometimes there are a few bees and they crawl around in the flowers, buzzing happily.

The Japanese Anenomes flower late — the end of July, so in the mean time, the bees go for the Flowering Raspberry.

Another plant that bees adore is the Rubas Odorata or Flowering Raspberry. Photo by Louise Peacock
