Why My Dog’s First Birthday Was a Pet Owner’s Dream
Happy Doggo, Happy Momma
My Dog is a female golden retriever, named Cherry. I introduced her in my About Me story, but after that, I never mentioned her again — so sad!
To fix that, let me share some pictures from her first birthday with you.
I’m a first-time dog momma (though I prefer being called her sister!) and I wanted to make her birthday as special as possible.
I got her a dog-friendly, pink, bone-shaped, mutton-flavoured cake with embedded treats to make sure she got the most out of it!
There wasn’t much in terms of decorations — I wanted to keep it simple since it was her first birthday. I didn’t want to overwhelm her with too much, as this was all new for her.
I decided to add a minimalist birthday banner and placed both her old (and broken — if you noticed in the second picture, she chewed the teddy’s eyes 😂) toys, along with some new ones, on the table. I also scattered some of her favourite treats around for her to enjoy, giving her the fun of fetching each one.
But I did forget one thing — oh no, the birthday cap! I quickly put it on her and snapped a few more pictures.
She looked like the most beautiful and happiest lady! My baby with her bow, pink bone-shaped cake, and golden shimmery cap — wow!
It’s every pet owner’s dream to see their fur baby this happy! Touch wood .
She had a fur-bulous first birthday with her homies. Woof-woof! 🐶
