Every designer knows the struggle of creating image-heavy designs—sourcing, curating, and downloading images for your work is a time suck. Even if you’re sourcing beautiful free imagery from a site like Pexels, you often still have to go through the work of importing those images into your design software of choice.

We’re excited to announce that, for users of Sketch, this process will now feel like a breeze. Sketch has just launched a free Pexels plugin, enabling users to access our library of over a million high quality, totally free stock photos.

The Pexels plugin can do all the heavy lifting of image sourcing for you, with the option to have Pexels randomly select a great image to give new personality to your design. No more time wasted searching for filler images! And of course for those projects where you need specific imagery, you can easily search the Pexels library right inside Sketch to find the content that fulfills your needs.

Don’t just take our word for it — here’s what designer, developer, and Youtuber Jessie Showalter had to say about the Pexels plugin.

You can even use one keyword search to quickly source several different images around the same theme, saving tons of time on projects where a lot of imagery is essential. And of course, for those UIs that require profile avatars, this option is going to be a lifesaver. You can download Pexels photos within Sketch in seconds and add them to your designs with the Data menu or Overrides panel.

Download and install the Pexels plugin for Sketch here.
