Phala Network Roadmap of 2022
Since Phala began its journey in 2019, our ecosystem has grown rapidly. Over 180k people have joined Phala communities to explore products and participate in various campaigns passionately. We are grateful to be a part of your life, without your contribution, Phala would not be able to have these achievement in the past.
In 2022, Phala will concentrate on mainnet launch, product optimization, and ecosystem growth. We are excited to show you our vision and goals on Fat Contract and Web 3 cloud etc.
Q1. FAT CONTRACT
➤ Fat Contract — V1
A kind of decentralized program complementary to the smart contract, which supports real-time compute-intensive tasks and has the access to all the services even if they are out of the blockchains.
In Q1, it is expected to:
- Support Parity Ink!
Phala will launch its mainnet in Q1 despite the result of bidding on the second batch of Polkadot slot auctions.
With this launch, we will have:
- Tokenomics upgrade
- Secure Mining System parameters adjustment
- Phala App optimization
➤ Phala World — NFT
Phala World (PW) is a Metaverse based on the Phala Network blockchain and it is one of the best applications build on Fat Contract.
In Q1, we will launch the NFTs and have sales & Airdrop.
➤ XCM & ChainBridge
As a lightweight, low-cost, trustless bridges leveraging XCM and Phala’s TEE-based computing technology, ChainBridge aims to extend this open-source technology to any blockchains, which is expected to provide a path for a large quantity of the liquidity of market value into the Polkadot ecosystem for usecases in smart contracts, DeFi, DEXes etc.
➤ Render Service For 3D NFT — MVP
Render Service For 3D NFT is a decentralized servers farm for:
- Rendering service for NFTs and Metaverse
- Web3 Back-End as Service via Fat Contract
Blender has the powerful technology to provide Web3 rendering services. At present, Phala is already working on a demo that runs the Blender renderer in its Secure Workers. In 2022 Q1, the Phala team will launch its MVP version.

By combining Fat Contract and AR technology, Web3 Analytics will enhance its ability and launch MVP version in Q1.

The lease of the Kusama slot will expire in July 2022. To provide trustless computing service to the Kusama ecosystem continuously, Khala, the canary network of Phala intends to participate in the new round of Kusama slot auction with a new strategy.

The keyword of this version is “High Scalability”. Empowered by this feature, the flexibility of Fat Contract will be improved exponentially.
