Phala Network Successfully Accessed to Rococo V1
According to Polkadot testnet data, Phala Network accessed Rococo V1 successfully, and became the 4th project to run parachain testnet.
Based on the principle of Rococo v1 parachain requirements, running on the Rococo V1 Parachain slot successfully means that Phala Network has completed the technology of running on Kusama and Polkadot, and that becomes one of the first technology-ready candidates to slot auctions.
As the most active participant and contributor to the Polkadot ecosystem, Phala’s exploration and practice of the Rococo testnet started as early as last December.
The first-ever cross-chain Demo unveiled by Phala and Acala is a super demo based on the Rococo V0. Through the combination of DeFi parachain and privacy parachain, Phala makes DeFi privacy.
About Rococo V1
Rococo V1 is a public testnet maintained by Parity Technologies along with the Polkadot developer community, aimed towards testing both the parachains consensus process itself as well as parachains built by the community and their interactions with each other.
The Rococo V0 is based on prototype parachains code. However, the parachains V1 codebase is the production-ready code for parachains consensus, which differs from V0 in the mechanisms by which parachains are included as well as having a more robust and extensible software architecture.
In the letter of Rococo V1 — A Holiday Gift to the Polkadot Community, the Polkadot team disclosed the relevant information about the open registration of the Rococo V1 parachain slot for the first time.
