Vendetta Incentive Program Roundup
On the very first day of 2021, the third incentive program of Phala Network — 1,000,000 PHA Incentive Program on Testnet Vendetta — comes to its end. Vendetta sets a significant milestone that gave birth to a powerful privacy computing cloud. From now on, Phala is ready to connect numerous TEE computing nodes (miners) and perform as (probably) the most decentralized privacy computing network for ALL blockchains, DApps, and companies.
The community decentralization will be launched after parachain development and pre-mainnet development kicks off. Miners and developers are and will always be the core of the Phala community, as they will consume PHA for functionalities and to support relevant on-chain democracy decisions through proposals or referendums (e.g., change the entry bar of miner staking).

The 1605 Race
The 1605 Race was designed to stress-test the network by encouraging massive participation from SGX-device holders. According to subscan.io and poc3.phala.network, the peak number of online miners tops 1,357, as the computing power tops 440,000 during the race, which indicates nearly 5,000 CPU cores are sharing their computing performance with Phala Network across the world 🚀.
131 recipients controlling the 1,357 miners will share the final prize pool of 700,000 PHA. Congratulations to them 🎉！

3,513 addresses were created and 1,084,840 extrinsic were completed on testnet Vendetta with an increase of 12% and 5,500% compared to the previous version.
The miner docs received 28,000+ views, and 6 miner tutorial videos were submitted by Phala contributors. Docs and tutorials were translated into Italian and Russian by @overmarck and @aoritus. Thank you for your time. :)

GK Workshop
Gatekeepers are crucial nodes responsible for Keystore management and network availability. To be a Gatekeeper, you will need PHA stakes and nominations from others, and run the nodes on quality devices. Gatekeepers will receive PHA rewards from annual inflation.
As Gatekeepers themselves are core contributors, we designed Gatekeeper Workshop as a program to reward passionate community cores who are both able technically skilled and continuously active. Most of them were rated as “A” for their time and efforts, and one of them was rated as “S”.
At last, 13 Gatekeepers were elected with a true will to improve and help the Phala community. They are:

Phala Building Bounty
Phala values community as Polkadot does, thus we designed Phala Building Bounty to encourage non-tech participation and contribution for all Phala fans.
From Nov 27 to December 31, we’ve received 110 NFTs, 41 Phala gift designs, 6 videos from 34 participants. Among them, there are amazing works and brilliant ideas (like Phala cookie 🤣). All Phala gifts might be published （with authorization) on Phala Dshop for sale or exchange. 😉
These 34 participants will share 100,000 PHA according to the points they gained. Thank you all for your time. :)

Community Growth
According to collected stats, from Nov 27 to Dec 31, we have 517 new members in Telegram / WeChat group, 5,280 new followers on Twitter, 24 new followers on Medium, and 56 new users on Phala Forum. The number of Phala global followers has reached 23,000 for testnet Vendetta. During the Vendetta campaign, we created our first miner group attracting 295 members on WeChat and 109 members on Telegram, with an average activity of 5%~10%.

🎁 Reward Claim
All PHA rewards (1605 Race, GK Workshop, Bounty) will be distributed to your Phala account on pre-mainnet Darth Vader. We will start the address verification process before the PHA is addressed on pre-mainnet.
The distribution of these PHA will mark the migration of PHA from Ethereum to Polkadot. From then on, you can also migrate all your ERC20 PHA to true PHA as well.
Another thing to note is that all PHA on pre-mainnet is not tradable. The detail of migration and reward claims will be published on Medium as the pre-mainnet goes live.
The Following Test Schedule
An essential function of the mining module — computing task and relevant mining reward distribution — will go live soon. We will hold another session of miner race before pre-mainnet and parachain slot auction.
