Progress Report December 2019

The Phantasma team hopes you all had a Merry Christmas & happy holidays with your families, friends and loved ones. It is time for some development progress updates to keep you up-to-date on what has been happening in the background. For the past months our team has been preparing the 22 Racing Series NFT sale, further optimization of the blockchain and of course developing more dApps! We would like to use this opportunity to highlight some of our development progress to the public.
22 Racing Series NFT Sale
The website of the NFT sale is nearly finished, with the exception of items to be added and integration to the Phantasma wallets. We have designed a Referral program for you to earn SOUL by referring the NFT sale to your (crypto) friends and acquaintances. This structure is not completely finalized yet, as we are thinking about additional rewards for using a referral code. We are aiming to bring the sale live as soon as possible, however only when we are absolutely happy with the results, including the referral program as it is a key component of making the NFT sale succeed.
dApp development
The actual development progress of Phantasma first party dApps is probably among the most requested from our community. We had initially decided to keep it at a low profile while developing, as we would not have any rough estimate of when we could publish sneak peaks with MVPs to be launched relatively soon afterwards. We finally can! Our development team has been working on multiple core dApps, specifically: Phantasma email, storage and chat. The dApps are in an advanced stage, as we are expecting to gradually launch MVPs of the dApps in no specific order. Here are a few sneak peaks!
Phantasma Drive
A storage application built on Phantasma Chain with the purpose to store data files of dApps and to store sensitive documents and information of users who value privacy & security and are looking for a secure & decentralized alternative on the blockchain.
Phantasma Chat
A chat system built on Phantasma Chain. A safe and encrypted chat with the chat log stored on the blockchain. Nobody will be able to read your messages. It will support sending cryptocurrencies to each other, similar to what WeChat supports in FIAT.
Phantasma Mail
An email system built on Phantasma Chain. Every mail is encrypted and stored on the blockchain for maximum security. It can fetch regular emails from centralized servers through the Phantasma Oracles. The ultimate email dApp in your hands.
We hope to have informed you well enough regarding the first party dApp development of Phantasma. Due to popular demand we shall publish frequent progress updates. Additionally, we hope to be able to share more information regarding Nacho Men and the Phantasma App during the next development update. To accelerate our development we are looking to add a few members to Phantasma, specifically software developers and business developers.
As for the KCAL in the Genesis wallet and the cosmic swaps pool: we have decided to commit 800K KCAL to the cosmic swaps pool and to burn the remainders of KCAL. Last but not least, the Phantasma team wishes you a wonderful new year, we are expecting 2020 to be a big year for Phantasma! We are looking forward for the NFT sale to kick off the new year!
