SES Leaderboard Event

Dear Souldiers,

Almost 2 months after main net launch, we are currently counting over 500 Soul Masters. Thank you for this huge milestone, it is not possible without our loyal community. Like everybody else, we are still very curious on how the Sustainable Energy System plays out in practice. A lot of KCAL has been burned already, but by no means has it been enough to beat Shado! Therefore we would like to put more at stake regarding the top 100 in the SES leaderboard and refresh some details about the points system.

At the end of every season, the maximum points to be distributed to the first place of the SES seasonal leaderboard is calculated by multiplying the KCAL daily generation rate by 100,000. e.g. in season 1, the KCAL generation is 0.002 KCAL/SOUL: rank 1 shall receive a maximum of 200 points to be added to the all-time leaderboard. Season 2 will either award 100 or 400 points to rank 1 depending if Shado gets beaten or not. This tier system is implemented to prevent stacking KCAL during a ‘’weaker’’ season to burn it all during a ‘’stronger season’’ to gain the upper advantage.

The point distribution for top 100 is as follows:

To help incentivize burning more KCAL, we are introducing prizes in SOUL for the people who are playing the SES game. A total of 10K SOUL is allocated to be won during season 1. Between today and December 31st we are going to make a snapshot and pick four winners based on a random lottery. The snapshot will be performed randomly without prior announced date, while the winners will be announced only after conclusion of season 1. One prize to be awarded to the top 25, two prizes to be awarded to the top 50 and one prize to be awarded to the top 100 (this includes top 25 and 50). The prizes are equal and one specific wallet can only win one single time during the season. It is allowed to split your KCAL over multiple wallets to increase your odds to win one of the prizes, but remember that the top spots of the all-time leaderboard will eventually win a BP spot. Enter the game and choose your purpose: do you wish to become a BP or do you wish to win SOUL? This is a test for potential similar future events, there might be more events if this turns out to be a success!

There is one thing that we would like to address regarding Phantasma Energy (KCAL). KCAL is currently set on a SOUL:KCAL ratio of 1:5. However, once the dynamic cosmic swaps is live, we plan to lower this ratio in favour of SOUL. So please do not engage in OTC trading, as the final conversion rate has not been determined yet. There are a few specific reasons for doing so:

• The majority of people are waiting to convert KCAL to SOUL, it seems likely that anybody who ‘’buys’’ KCAL at a 1:5 ratio would be at a loss. Lowering the ratio will protect KCAL ‘’buyers’’.
• People are less incentivized to burn KCAL, as it will otherwise cost them 1K SOUL per 5K KCAL with current ratio. Participating in the SES game should not come at such a high price.
• If SOUL:KCAL should truly be valued at 1:5, it should automatically move towards this ratio based on supply and demand, so we rather start with a lower ratio.
