Welcome to a series called “Day in the Life” showcasing the team at Phi Labs, which is a contributor to the Archway protocol.

First up is Emmanuel, he recaps a busy day at EthCC Paris 2022. Take it away Emmanuel…

Introduce yourself

Hey everyone my name is Emmanuel Aremu. My role is Growth Marketing Manager, which covers all things marketing, content, social, PR and much more.

Why Paris?

Why was the team that is contributing towards the Archway protocol in Paris for?

Good question, the team was in Paris for EthCC, which is a conference focused on developers building on Ethereum. The conference resulted in a number of developers going to Paris to connect, learn and build — it presented a great opportunity to introduce Archway to web3 developers from around the world.

During the week, the team ran a Hacker House which welcomed dapp development teams building on Archway (more on this coming soon) and host our first “Archway & Frens” event at the legendary Sacré, Paris.

Start to the day

The “Archway & Frens” event was a collaborative effort with our friends at Connext, Nomad and Figment. The ethos of the event was to invite web3 builders, developers and the community to come together and learn more about the previously mentioned projects.

The day started with me conducting a final promotional push for the event across our social profiles and amongst the community.

After wrapping up the final guest list additions, the rest of the team headed to the venue to begin final checks.

At Sacre

We arrived at Sacre to complete final venue checks, plus going through the night’s schedule with our event producer and team before opening doors to the guests for the evening.

Multichain Future Panel

Left to Right: Jessica Salomon from Phi Labs, Griffin Anderson from Phi Labs, Rahul Sethuram from Connext and James Parillo from Figment Capital

As the venue began to get packed, the “Multichain Future” panel started which was hosted by Jess from Phi Labs and featured Griffin, the CEO of Phi Labs — plus Rahul, CTO at Connext and James, Fund Manager at Figment Capital.

The panel covered all the possibilities of the a multichain world, current web3 ecosystem events, how that would look like for everyday users, dapp developers and communities.

The panel wrapped up with questions from the audience and the rest of the evening was spent catching up with community members, connecting with current and potential future partners.

Overall the night was a success with nearly 400 guests attending the Archway & Frens event. Already looking forward to the next one.

Thank you for reading along to my day in the life at Phi Labs!
