We’re thrilled to announce a game-changing update to the Ambur Marketplace! All transactions on Ambur — minting, buying, or selling NFTs — will now be done exclusively in USDC. This upgrade is a big step forward, bringing more stability, transparency, and ease of use for everyone in our growing community.

In this blog post, we’ll explain why we’ve made this switch, how it benefits you, and what you need to know to start trading NFTs with USDC on Ambur. Let’s dive in!

Why the Switch to USDC

USDC, or USD Coin, is an asset-backed stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. This means that 1 USDC is designed to maintain a constant value of 1 USD, making it a reliable currency in the often volatile crypto world. For creators and collectors, this means more straightforward pricing, fewer risks from market fluctuations, and a smoother transaction process overall.

By using USDC, we’re making it easier for you to mint, trade, and collect NFTs in a more stable environment. Whether buying, selling, or minting your next collection, you’ll work with the second largest and fully-backed stablecoin.

How to Get USDC

Now that USDC is the standard on Ambur, you might wonder how to get your hands on some. There are a couple of easy ways to do this, and we’ll walk you through both.

Option 1: SWAP Using Skip Protocol

The Skip Protocol is a fast and secure way to swap your existing tokens (like ARCH, ATOM, etc.) for USDC. It operates as a decentralized exchange, allowing you to trade your tokens for USDC seamlessly.

Here’s how:

  1. Visit Skip Protocol or AstroVault and connect your wallet.

2. Select the token you want to swap (e.g., ARCH or ATOM) and choose Archway USDC as the destination.

3. Confirm the transaction in your wallet and wait for the swap to complete.

4. Once the transaction is confirmed, your USDC will be ready to use on Ambur.

…and that’s it! You’re all set to mint, buy, and sell NFTs with USDC on Ambur.

Option 2: BUY USDC Using Kado

Here’s how:

If you’d prefer to buy USDC directly with fiat currency (USD, EUR, etc.), Kado is the way to go. Kado lets you buy USDC using traditional payment methods like credit cards or bank transfers. Here’s how:

1. Visit Kado and sign up or log in to your account.

2. Choose your payment method (credit card, debit card, or bank transfer).

3. Select Archway USDC as the crypto you want to buy.

4. Complete the transaction and send your USDC to your Ambur-compatible wallet.

Once the purchase is complete, your USDC will be transferred to your wallet, and you’ll be ready to trade!

Option 3: BRIDGE Using Noble Express

Here’s how:

  1. Visit Noble Express and connect your origin wallet with the USDC you plan on bridging to Archway.
  2. Choose your Ambur-compatible destination wallet.
  3. Select Archway USDC as the crypto you want to bridge to.
  4. Complete the transaction and receive your USDC.
Once the bridging is complete, your Archway USDC will be ready to trade on Ambur.

How Does the Transition to USDC Work on Ambur?

All new NFT listings, mints, and offers on Ambur will be priced in USDC. This means you’ll transact with a stable, widely recognized currency every time you use the platform.

But don’t worry — if you’ve already listed NFTs in ARCH, those listings will remain active and can still be purchased with ARCH.

A Few Important Things to Keep in Mind:

  • To mint or trade on Ambur, you’ll need a balance of both USDC and a small amount of ARCH to cover gas fees. Make sure you have both before starting any transactions.
  • If you’re part of our Guzzler Club, good news — your gas fees are on us! We’ve got you covered with free ARCH for all transaction fees.
  • Foresight Whitelist Tickets are now tradable in USDC. You can buy, sell, or transfer tickets on the open marketplace.

Important Note on USDC Bridging for Ambur:

  • Ambur now uses USDC to pay for all NFT purchases, specifically USDC issued by Noble. Ensure you’re selecting Noble’s USDC when bridging tokens from another chain or via IBC, as the Ambur platform will only recognize USDC of this type. It’s important to understand that not all USDC tokens (USDC.axl, USDC.grav, etc.) will work seamlessly with the platform, and the platform may not recognize other USDC types.
  • For the best experience on Ambur, we recommend that users either swap for USDC directly through the Skip Protocol via Skip.Go or use a service like Kado to convert to USDC.noble with fiat. These methods ensure you’re using the correct version of USDC, avoiding compatibility issues that might arise when using bridged USDC tokens from other networks.
  • Always double-check that your USDC comes from the Noble network to ensure smooth transactions, especially if transferring it from another chain via IBC. By using Skip or Kado, you can be confident that your USDC is compatible with Ambur, allowing you to mint, buy, and sell NFTs without a hitch.

What’s Next for Ambur?

This transition to USDC is just the beginning of exciting changes for the Ambur marketplace. We’re committed to making Ambur more versatile and accessible, and we plan to introduce new collections, features, and enhancements soon.

Thank you for being part of the Ambur community. We can’t wait to see the incredible NFTs you create and trade in this new era!
