PHILADELPHIA (May 17, 2021) — District Attorney Larry Krasner issued the following statement after a Municipal Court dismissed charges against former Philadelphia Police Officer Richard Paul Nicoletti (DOB: 5/16/1985), who was fired and arrested for allegedly assaulting protesters with pepper spray on I-676 last summer during racial injustice demonstrations:
“I fully intend to vigorously pursue charges in this matter. The people want and deserve justice and change, including police accountability, even though some institutional players are in denial. We will stay the course.”
