For the Commonwealth highlights the important work our prosecutors are doing to secure justice in specific cases brought by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Today we highlight the work of Assistant District Attorney Jacob Segal of our Major Trials Unit.

ADA Jacob Segal secured a conviction of Carjacking, Robbery, Fleeing Police, and related weapons charges for a defendant who went on a test drive at a car dealership and then robbed the salesman at gunpoint in January of 2016. This was the defendant’s fourth gunpoint robbery conviction, and one of the defendant’s prior victims was flown to Philadelphia to testify. A jury found the defendant guilty and the Hon. Anne Marie Coyle will sentence him in March.
