For the Commonwealth highlights the important work our prosecutors are doing to help secure justice in specific cases brought by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher Bailes of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit helped secure justice recently in a case involving a defendant — the father of the survivor’s child — accused of repeatedly strangling and pointing a gun at her, threatening to kill the victim and her family, and illegal possession of a firearm. He was found guilty by the Hon. Kai Scott and is scheduled for sentencing in September.
