For the Commonwealth: Assistant District Attorney Vilma Cubias

For the Commonwealth highlights the important work our prosecutors are doing to help secure justice in specific cases brought by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Assistant District Attorney Vilma Cubias of our Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit helped secure justice in a case involving a defendant, a family friend, who was accused by two 9-year-old girls of sexual abuse. The defendant was found guilty by a jury. He will be sentenced by the Hon. Timika Lane in October.
