Welcome to the new public data website for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, an office dedicated to real change in our criminal justice system and our communities. I am Larry Krasner. And I have the privilege of serving as your District Attorney.

Thanks to the groundbreaking work of our data team, this new website is a first step toward providing greater transparency and accountability to the public. It will help us navigate ongoing reform efforts and help us to see what is and is not working.

This site replaces fear-driven fiction with fact. It replaces doubt with data to tell a true story that hasn’t been told about crime, public safety, our people, our City. This is what we at the DAO and our partners in the community and in the system need to make the right decisions. And even though we’re just getting started, we can already show you things like how cases move through the system, how poverty, unemployment, and lack of education connect to crime. We can show you how and what we are doing in the Philly DAO to keep our promises: to reduce incarceration, to reduce supervision on probation and parole, to increase diversion, and to serve victims and witnesses.
