The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5–3 to end a 3 game skid.
What a bounce-back game for the Flyers. After playing horrible last night against the Florida Panthers, Philadelphia out-shot the best team in NHL by 11 (38–27) and came away with the win.
Claude Giroux played an amazing game having 3 assists. Sean Couturier also picked up 3 points (1 Goal 2 Assist). Five Flyers had 2 or more points (Travis Konechney, Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmons, Jakub Voracek, Sean Couturier). Brian Elliot also kept up his amazing goal-tending with 24 saves.
The Flyers sealed the game on an empty net goal by Valtteri Filppula (Assist Jakub Voracek) in the last minute to put the Flyers up 2 goals. Philadelphia looks ahead to a big inter-state rivalry game vs the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.
