The Flyers play an amazing game in a win vs the Islanders.
The X factor for the Flyers was Goalie Brian Elliot. Elliot played great and only allowed 2 goals through the first 2 periods.
The Flyers almost choked, in the end, being outshot by 10 but we kept playing strong and held on.
Ivan Provorov played excellent leading the Flyers in points with 3. He also iced the game on an EN goal (Assist Claude Giroux, Assist Jakub Voracek).
The Flyers were also by far the more physical and energetic team winning all 3 of the fights in the game.
The Flyers now stand 2 games out of a wild-card spot behind the Islanders, Penguins, Hurricanes, And Rangers. The Flyers look to prepare for Saturday’s game against the Blues.
