Sixers win!!

The team comes back from a rough and frustrating outing vs the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday and beat the Bulls at home 115–101. The did not allow the Chicago to get a lead the whole game. The Sixers were up by double digits for a majority of the game. The Sixers have played the Bulls once this season and lost. They won this one and they have one more in February against the Chicago Bulls, in Chicago.

A Pretty good defensive game for the Sixers. Joel Embiid had a good game with 22 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds. The Sixers were 50% from the three point line. Ben Simmons is the MVP of the game as he recorded a triple-double in the first 21:51 minutes of his playing time. He finished with 19 points, 14 assists, 15 rebounds, this is his 5th career triple-double, that is the most from a rookie since Lakers legend Magic Johnson. Ben didn’t make the All-Star reserves but was certainly showing that he was snubbed. Dario Saric played well as he had a double-double, he finished with 21 points, 2 assists, and 11 rebounds. Robert Covington had a good game with 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarot had another great shooting day as he finished with 12 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds. Justin Anderson did well as he finished with 12 points.

The Sixers true shooting percentage was 64% as the Bulls percentage was 49%. Sixers finished with 20 total fouls and the Bulls finished with 15. The Sixers biggest lead was 25. Philadelphia outscored the Bulls in every quarter except for the 4th. Chicago shot bad from three as a team as they shot 30% (11–36). Their leading scorer was Bobby Portis and also finished with a double-double as he had 22 points and 11 rebounds.

The Sixers improve to 23–21 on the season.

The Sixers next game is Friday, January 26th at the Spurs (31–18) in San Antonio. The last time the Sixers played the Spurs they won 112–106 in Philadelphia on January 3rd and this is the 2nd and final game of the season series vs the Spurs. The game starts at 8:30 pm. The Spurs are 5–5 in their last 10 games.
