The Philadelphia 76ers hold on late to beat the Celtics 89–80.

The Sixers played well as they had a lead the majority of the game. Center Joel Embiid led the way for the Sixers, after getting selected to his first ever all star game, he had 26 points and 16 rebounds (10–19 FG) while Embiid was playing, he was getting tagged over 10,000 times on Rihanna’s Instagram, (oh and by the way go tag Joel Embiid’s Instagram in Rihanna’s)

Anyways Forward Dario Saric had a good game with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists (6–14 FG, 2–5 3pt). Point gaurd T.J. McConnell played very well for us off the bench and without him we might not have won this game. McConnell finished with 15 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals (5–8 FG, 2–2 3pt). Shooting guard Jerryd Bayless struggled as usual as he had 4 points (2–5 FG, 0–1 3pt).

All in all, it was a good team win on the road vs the best team in the conference, and even though Celitcs point guard Kyrie Irving didn’t play, the Sixers still had to work for this one, as they played very good defense and held the Celtics to 80 points which was their lowest total of the season, their previous lowest total was 85.

The Sixers move to over .500 for the first time in 5 weeks. The Sixers improve to 21–20 as the Celtics fall to 34–12.

The Sixers next game is Saturday, January 20th, 2018, at 7:30 pm vs the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The Celtics next game is on Sunday, January 21st, 2018 at 1:00 pm vs the Orlando Magic at TD Garden in Boston.
