Amen to that.

I believe that whenever we find our lives miserable or unhappy, it is because deep down we are falling short of what we are supposed to do. When we conform to a society we set up ideals and goals that we haven’t decided for ourselves. Most of the times we choose a way of life that is not our own either, we settle for what is acceptable, appreciable or reasonable.

But as we live on, we become hollow inside. If our life is not in align with our dreams, strength and potential we keep feeling that something is missing. something doesn’t seem right.

I read the definition of hell somewhere and it hit home, . “On your last day on earth, the person you became will meet the person you could have become.”

I’ve always dreaded the idea of living a life on someone else’s terms. Its one life we’ve got and if that too isn’t the truest manifestation of who we are, then we’ve failed as human beings, as beings of a noble consciousness.

It makes me immensely sad when I see people who are in places they are clearly not meant to be in. They think they don’t have a choice and maybe sometimes they really don’t, but deep down we know that we owe it to ourselves to play by our strengths. To live our authentic lives and use our abilities in the best way possible, not just to serve our own selves but also to make a contribution in the world, no matter how little.
