- Universality → the things are the same throughout this whole universe e.g. the laws of physics;
- Black-and-white thinking → splitting (psychology) → the things are either like this or that and nothing in between;
- Drugs (and many other things) → are not inherently good or bad, it depends;
- Relativistic factors → can be objective and subjective.
Abstract
Protagoras used to say:
“Man is the measure of all things”,
which was a revolutionary thought at that time, and I think that idea should be “revolutionized” even more. In this chapter I want to talk about relativism and how it is applicable to many things, things where many people have a black-and-white perspective about.
