If there is one thing that guarantees for humans to stagnate and regress it’s a lack of diversity in opinions. Whenever all agree, nobody will see the big mistakes coming. Our world is developing towards making it more uncomfortable to voice contrary ideas. Let’s not forget their true value!
Requirements
You are looking for a publication that will never censor you for an opinion? We won’t. You just need to present a train of thought provoking further thinking. That’s our requirement №1.
You want to write about this and that? Fine with us. Just give a philosophical perspective and the topic doesn’t really matter. Does one of these categories apply: Culture — Belief — Knowledge? That’s requirement №2.
You are just starting out or have a PhD? We don’t care as long as you deliver quality content! Sadly, we will have to evaluate this subjectively though. We’ll present you with our reasoning for a rejection. Quality is requirement №3.

The German Edition
We are proud to publish our work in two different languages, reaching a potential readership of over 6 countries. As we are based in Germany, our publication is also being published in German. By submitting your articles, you allow us to translate and publish them on philosophiejournal.de — if you don’t subject to it explicitly.
You will keep all the rights for your work and we won’t take any profits.
If you’d rather submit an article in German and have us translate it into English, that also works. Just know, we will change your draft on Medium to English and take the German original to our website. We are all English on Medium!
How to apply
You can apply by sending a contribution request on Smedian. Alternatively send us an email at medium@philosophiejournal.de! If you have a draft ready, just include the draft link. Otherwise please don’t forget your Medium username!
