Allied Properties REIT have completed its first large scale intensification project, located in Toronto, Canada, which involved the restoration of two existing buildings and an addition new building.
According to Allied Properties REIT,
The new office space will be built overtop of the existing structures, being propped up in the air by 75'-0" steel “jacks”. It will be designed to LEED Gold standard. The combination of the state-of-the-art office building with the traditional brick and beam building is a model for the potential intensification projects that Allied will undertake.
