Growing up, Bradley always felt like he has never been accepted. In his adolescence he was obsessed with creating wonderful illusions with his hands. He could make mighty dragons and giants that can crush any living soul beneath them. Though, the creatures looked fiercely intimidating, they were only illusions to trick the eye. Harmless really. Magic is created but the town of Kingston Hill doesn’t accept that kind of practice for Bradley was constantly ridiculed.
He put down his spells and tried being one of the brave knights who train to defeat the dreaded armies of Lord Depre. Deore was an evil warrior who cast himself out of Vegulas, the Kings castle. His barbaric tactics were looked down upon. His menacing eyes were said to turn your body as limp as a noodle. They say he stands ten feet tall and has bloodstained armor with spikes sharp enough to cut a man in two. His swords are aid to be crafted from the gods of ear themselves. His army is ruthless but has been held off by the king of Vegulas.
However, Bradley is too poor to get equipment. He decided to try out practices spells and illusions since he got injured. He started to do his spells and grow different illusions. He started getting better and better and people started coming to watch some of his crafting. For the first time in Bradley’s life, he feels like he found his place. There is an annual tryout to enter the king’s court as a magician. People from peasants to lords can all try out. He thought about it but had doubts about his skill. He never used to get attention for it and he never through it would ever get him anywhere. He lives a lonely life and decided to just try out because he really has nothing to lose.
He started practicing harder and harder. He made a sheep, then a shark, a lion, and many other great creations. Crowds started to for and a one point peopled paid him for it.
He finally got enough money for his travels to the Kings castle and set off down the road. The castle isn’t too far but it also isn’t really close. The journey on this long and boring hike has begun. As he walked out of town the atmosphere grew creepy and haunting. Bradley walked down the path and heard rustling behind a patch of bushes. He pulled out his illusion wand with his shaking hand and prepares to be attacked from a mighty beast. Instead of the beast attacking savagely, it was laying helplessly on the ground with cuts. Bradley quickly ran off out of fear but he slowly goes to a jog and then a walk. He walks back slowly and then to a stop. He decided he needed to aid he poor creature. He jogged up the creature and gently touched its shoulder. The beast flinched and cowered in utter fear. This brought great sadness to Bradley and he decided to help the beast out a little bit. He healed his wounds with spells and gave it potion to heal faster. After the night passed Bradley slowly got up and tried to sneak away from it quietly.
As he snuck passed the beast he stepped on a twig and it cracked. Bradley ran off and the beast was still sluggish and tired but he noticed Bradley left him and he freaked out. He couldn’t find Bradley until a few hours later down the path. The creature walked up behind him and Bradley felt it’s breathe above him. Bradley started to run and the beast followed. Bradley because petrified and started to sprint. He tripped over a rock and the beast toward over him.
Instead of ripping Bradley into pieces, the beast opens his mouth with a big smile with crooked teeth.
“Bru” he stated as he reached his hand out to Bradley. “Da-Da” he exclaimed proudly towards Bradley
Bradley laughed and said his name is bradley and he has to go alone. He started walking and Bru stood there looking helplessly at the ground. Bradley got sad and said Bru can tag along as long as he didn’t get in the way or slow him down. Bru picked him up with excitement and threw him up and caught him. While they walk through the paths to the castle they pass beautiful waterfalls, flowers and villages.
That was the first time Bradley has felt like he had something there for him Bru was with him every step of the way smiling and holding Bradleys stuff. Sure, he is a large troll who smell like waste but he has the biggest heart. Bru was the first person to stay in Bradleys life and made him happy without hurting him.
As they approached the castle they got ambushed by soldiers in black and red outfits. As they rush towards Bru and Bradley bru yells run and points behind him and takes on the soldiers by himself. Bradley runs and then turns around to the sight of Bru getting a spear to his neck. He then saw the flag of Lord Depre.why where they at the castle?
Bradley continued to run and lost the men behind him but he didn’t want to take a chance at getting so he kept running until he steps on something and then gets pulled into the sky. He hit the back of his head and passed out. The kings men placed a trap and caught bradley.
Bradley woke up in a jail cell with a man wearing a crown with gaurds all around him. The king of Vegulas turned around and asked Bradley why he was in the woods. He explained the men in black and red attacked him and his troll and they got Bru. He explained they were on the way to the competition and the kings smile grew large and his eyes grew too.
The King is obsessed with magic and wants bradley to show how good he is at it. So, bradley is escorted to the throne and shows his show like it’s the last thing he will ever do. The king sits there after and just stares at Bradley. A little after he slowly gets a huge grin and told Bradley that it’s the greatest show hed ever seen and yelled to the gaurds to cancel the competition immediately.
As he walks out he saw this angelic lady standing there smiling at him. She followed him and then asked him to slow down. She walked up and was the most beautiful person hed ever seen. She has the perfet facial structure and smile. They started talking and he found out shes amazing both inside and out. They stayed together all day and night and grew fond of eachother. Bradley had to leave to meet the guard to take him to his new room. On his way out of the main quarters a ladt lurks out of the shadows. The lady tells him of a powerful brush that can make actual creatures and objects come to life and that he can have everything he ever wanted.
