We Create Our Own Creative Barriers

I have lost many opportunities because I was too afraid to be freer with my music releases. I would spend weeks and months perfecting a track, just to never release it.

While trying to accomplish our goals, we spend a lot of time setting everything up to make sure the result is perfect. Whether you want to be a touring musician or a well-known health blogger.

Aiming For Perfection

We spend days, weeks, months, or even years trying to plan, and do our work, to make sure that once we’re ready to show the world what we have, they’ll be blown away.

Obviously, there’s nothing wrong with trying to create the greatest work you could. We all want to give our friends/fans/customers the best product so that it could be a hit.

Don’t Worry About Failing

But what if there’s silence after your first attempt? How are you going to feel after spending weeks on end tinkering with little details for it to get heard by 13 people?

You could have released a demo, gotten the same amount of listens, asked for feedback, and polish it.

Or fuck it, just release your stuff. Show your work to the world. If it’s a hit, rework it.

You got to jump at some point. Why not do it now?
