Pragmatism vs Pragmaticism

Whoa, that may seem like a very heavy way to start off a warm and fuzzy essay about LOVE — But any regular reader of my written work knows that I will always take the opportunity to explore a topic from the bottom-up, top-down, and circular momentum (wink wink).

The first thought that crosses one’s mind upon sitting down to write an essay such as this is the doubt that anyone reading it needs to be reminded of how love is an extremely complex aspect of human existence. It is certainly common knowledge that for millennia artists, poets, and philosophers have tried to explain how love differs from the material interactions often sterilely promoted by physicalists.

Perhaps by exploring the dichotomies of pragmatism and pragmaticism, we can flesh out the texture that is evaporated by taking the utilitarian view. And knowing how ‘There is No ‘I’ without the ‘Not I’, as this author has previously discussed, the negation of the nominalistic version of pragmatism should help us to gain a clearer understanding of love through the lens of pragmaticism.
