What are drones? Drones are flying robots that are remotely controlled or can fly by themselves by using flight programmes in their embedded systems. There are many types of drones such as; multi-rotor drones, fixed-wing drones, single rotor helicopter and the fixed-wing hybrid. All of these are used to help society.

How can they help society you ask? Well, drones can help with many things such as: monitoring forest fires, delivering products, helping with security, helping capture aerial views and many more.

There are also concerns regarding drones such as: drones can interfere with radio signals which can result in loss of control, damage aircraft and can as such be dangerous.

I believe drones are exceptional at the moment but can use a few changes such as: they should be made more affordable so more people could have access to them, making lives easier, drones should be allowed to be used for things such as the delivery of medicines to the elderly etc. The uses are vast, but I guess more research and development and rules need to be established further for this.

In conclusion, I think that drones are okay at the moment but can be developed further as mentioned earlier. I’m sure that in the future the majority of the planet will have access to these amazing devices and I for one can’t wait for that to happen.
