During the past couple of weeks, the PhoneMe team has continued to work on curriculum development as well as connecting with local teachers to set up potential future workshops for 2018. Recently, we have developed a few new poetry templates as part of our efforts to build a collection of options that educators might try with their poet learners. As part of this development, like we did with the “This place” template (as discussed in the previous blog post), we are continuing to play with what we create, to see if we find that the templates are helping us to produce compelling work. Our aim is to not only develop engaging creative writing prompts, but further, to have exemplars that we are proud of to use in workshops. We are also encouraging the teachers we are currently in communication with to experiment alongside us, and write poetry with the prompts for their own classroom exemplars. Be sure to stay tuned for these texts!

Additionally, PhoneMe poets will also notice that we have added a creative commons note to the blog:

Finally, we have updated our submission forms, so be sure to check that out if you are considering sharing your artwork with us!
