Photo Book | A Year In Review
Tips and Inspiration
Before you begin your ‘Year in Review’ Photo Book, you’ll first need all your photos and videos from 2013. If you’re not lucky enough to have these in one place with a handy ‘sort by date’ functionality, it’ll probably be worth taking the time to sort out your favourites from the past year before you begin.
Create a folder especially for your Photo Book so you can drop photos and films you’d like to use into here whenever you come across any. If you see any of your friend’s photos on facebook or Instagram for example, you can add them to this designated folder too, so you have a good mix of photos all in one place.
Now for the fun part! Here’s a few tips and ideas to help you on your way to creating your perfect memento of 2013…
- You could break the book into Months or Seasons and change the theme accordingly to coincide with your photosWrite your story
Create a section highlighting the biggest events from the year. This is also a good opportunity to highlight any significant events you may not have managed to capture on camera.
Include new arrivals, Birthdays and Anniversaries of all the special people in your family
- Don’t forget you can now add videos to your CEWE PHOTOBOOK! Baby’s first steps and other precious memories that aren’t quite the same in a photo can now be captured in your Photo Book as a video, using QR code technology! Click here for a quick step by step guide on getting started >
- Mention all the Holidays and places you’ve visited throughout the year
- Add quotes throughout your book, funny things people have said at the time of the photo, or famous quotes, poems, song lyrics, anything that adds depth and character to summarize each occasion
- Scan in artwork, tickets, notes and letters to add a further dimension to your special memories.
- Have a final scan of your book to make sure you’ve included all your important family members and friends
- List other things unique to that year, for example best songs, books, films released that year. Any little detail that could jog a nice memory you didn’t capture on camera.
