If you want to start analogue/film photography, but you are unsure of how you will receive your photos, I will explain the film development basics. Briefly, you can go to a store and ask them to develop and scan your films. It is 2021 now; you don’t have to print them to have your photos as many people think. Also, I highly recommend taking your developed film-negatives back because if you lose your digital scans, you can always scan them again and again.
I started analogue photography without any information. I checked everything online; I watched videos and read articles. However, of course, I still needed some basics. My brain was about to explode, “should I go to a store with my USB or should I give them my film, do they scan or do they print, I don’t wanna look like an idiot,” etc.
Find a lab
Many people will tell you that film photography is gone and you will not find a place to develop your films or if you can it will be costly. They are wrong.
