Spring in Wisconsin Farm Country

Before moving to Wisconsin in 2012, I had no idea how beautiful the farm country could be. I’m a California native and grew up in the desert living close to mountains, which is a huge contrast to the flat lands, woodlands, and family-run farms across the landscape of Wisconsin.

I look forward to spring blooming in Wisconsin after the long, white silence of winter. Here is a poem I wrote after seeing the tulips bloom in my yard, which always amazes me because I could never grow tulips in the California desert no matter how desperately I tried!
