The only harbor at Dongji Island

My friends and I aimed to go to Chimei Island as one of our tourist spots during our Penghu trip, but we were dropped by this small island for an hour due to some reasons. (Maybe due to the weather or so, it was headwind while we were heading to Chimei.)

According to Wikipedia and my friend's research, Dongji Island is ascribed to South Penghu Marine National Park in 2014. The residents on this island now are no more than 300 people. Most of them are elderly.

The air was cold and contained a smell of the ocean, and the vibes there were quiet and peaceful, but somehow I felt a little bit lonely. Perhaps it could be too quiet. In this one hour, I only saw one or two residents wandered on the streets. It seemed like this island had already been isolated for years.

During my one-hour stay at here, I seldom saw the residents walking on the streets. The atmosphere made me feel like I was wandering in the past. Like a ghost haunted in the past of Dongji Island.
