The oldest zoo in the world opened in 1752, in Vienna, which is The Tiergarten Schönbrunn, in English called Vienna Zoo. According to Wikipedia, the zoo is a facility in which all animals are housed within enclosures, displayed to the public, and in which they may also breed. But why those people want to keep those animals in the garden? I think the original idea of this kind of facility can fulfill the human’ s desire for greedy, flaunting and ambitions. Those emotions make humans force a lot of creatures to move to the place far from their birthplace, or those animals have never felt the real world ever.

The major issue for those animals is that the land is not enough for them. Take tigers, for instance, every single tiger needs 100 km² for living. A suitable habitat requires adequate water, an environment doesn’t easily get disturbed, and biodiversity. In this picture, you can see two tigers sharing the place together, it is about only 200 m². They are friendly with each other and they have enough food and water. To be honest, they might have a better condition than other tigers, but is it the good news for these two tigers?

This is a sun bear originally from tropical forest habitats of Southeast Asia. In its home, it usually has a variable of trees surrounding and full of rain. The bear only compares with a high cement wall and a few trees in this picture. It is how ironically; they print a landscape of paint on the wall.

Research showed human is 0.01% of Biomass in the earth, but the human has already caused 83% of an organism to exterminate. The situation is going worse now.

Do we have a way to save those animals? I think it must have but the human hasn’t found it yet. However, people on earth are started to care about the earth. I hope it is not too late, but better than nothing.

Nowadays, people realized how enormous damage has done to the spirits on the earth. The zoo is becoming a place combined with education, protection, and entertainment.

Finally, I hope every soul in the world will be saved and happy.
