PhotoChromic Project Update: Q2 - 2022
It’s been a busy few months at PhotoChromic. While the bear market has persisted, hacks and exploits have also continued to erode confidence across the spectrum. Over $2bn has been stolen this year from a series of hacks. This set of circumstances has only further entrenched our deep commitment towards forging a safer future and secured digital identity for all.
At PhotoChromic, we champion the cause for a safer crypto experience by empowering people to take ownership of their identities, and verify counterparties before transacting with them. This makes us a little different to the rest of the market out there. Much attention is being paid to fix exploits and vulnerabilities, rather than resolving issues at the root cause level. Many people only seek out identity protection after an exploit. We’re actively committed towards educating people and projects in this space about how they can do this prior to any losses. That’s why we’re committed to fixing the problem at its root cause, by enabling a safer, more secured digital identity.
Our team has been hard at work, as we focus our efforts on the future of digital identity. We launched our Soulbound Token minting engine on Mainnet Ethereum on 7 July 2022. Don’t forget, if you have minted a Genesis PhotoChromic NFT, you can mint your Soulbound Identity NFT, and tell a friend. For each person you refer to create their SBT, you earn 50% of the minting fees of your referrals!
Our team also launched our interactive application, which now enables you to transact with verified people. Send crypto simply and easily by routing it to your Twitter, Gmail or Discord handle. The PhotoChromic integration is now registered in ENS. We’ve also been fortunate to have been selected to join the first cohort of Startup with ChainLink. We have also released our developer documentation and SDK, as we work towards building a secure Metaverse for all. During this time, we have also provided rewards of up to $50,000 for projects who build and deliver services valuable to the market that leverage our PhotoChromic protocol.
At PhotoChromic, we’re confident that we’ve deployed and designed a market standard for privacy protection of personally identifiable information and captured that into our recently published privacy policy. As a regulatory-friendly platform, we’re always keen to grow our community and learn more about projects and initiatives we can collaborate with. Moreover, we’re extending our focus, to help usher in a new era for identity. We’re looking to grow our community to include Web2, fintech, and finance people with an interest in web 3.
