My 500px Editor’s Choice for May 19, 2015
“Another sleepless night in Haukland beach” from Alfredo Costanzo immediately caught my attention due to the layer filled sky you see. There’s blues, and whites and greens and textures and stillness and beauty. It’s simply stunning. Then there’s the rocks below, the mountain in the distance and the reflection on the water. So pretty.

“Glacial Crystals” from Patrick Marson Ong has a range of awesomeness embedded. There’s the amazing horizon with the sun perfectly golden. The fast flowing water with the still crystals glowing with blue and gold tones. The water is soft from the longer exposure time, but still textured enough to add a sense of motion.

“Leviathan” from Karezoid Michal Karcz reminds me of a scene from a pirate movie. The boat looks abandoned yet still moving towards the shore, straight at the rocks. The textures are intense, and bold. The colors are dark, moody and bold. Overall a fantastic photo with a heck of a cool story somewhere inside.
“Special Guest” from Daniel Sousa Malandra is a great example of ways to include pets in a wedding. Normally I’m not one for dressing up pets, but I think it works so well in this photo to have the dog in a suite. The monochrome processing is beautiful. The textures on the dog are awesome and the blurred couple in the background is spot on.
