“My Umbrella” from Andiyan Lutfi tells a beautiful story of a snail stuck in the rain. Unfortunately the snail is too slow to get shelter so he grabs the first thing in sight in order to be used as an umbrella. I think his choice was a poor one.

This is such a beautiful macro photo showing the amazing detail of the snail. It’s also detailed enough to see the water droplets. The colors are vibrant, cool and warm. Overall well done.

“The dorsal fin” from Iñaki Bolumburu has such a cool tone to it. It’s calming, inviting and slightly warm. The wide angle adds to the beauty of the fin shaped rock coming out of the water.

Then the water itself is nice and smooth. So smooth you see the details of the rocks below the surface. The sky is also streaked, adding to the appearance of movement.

“Play Ball” from Bob Lussier is grand and beautiful. You can tell the photograph was made from a super tall building. The exposure is longer so you see the streaks of lights from the cars driving through the streets and highways. The river is silky smooth and the evening sky compliments the cool and warm tones throughout the scene. Then comes the stadium. The lights are on, the game is in play.

“Angry Dimitrios” from Saki Panagiotopoulos is like a scene from a pirate movie, or Game of Thrones. The water is an amazing tone of teal, and is smooth with slight streaks. The sky is chaotic with a crazy storm in the distance. Lightening striking the ship, or right behind the ship, is so interesting to see. The colors pop, the light is beautiful. Overall a winner!
