I asked Ben for a photo because he’s always up for anything. He posed stiffly, which surprised me.
I wasn’t sure where to go from there so I took a few frames to make him feel comfortable. “Nice,” I said. We proceeded to chat and watch the New York skyline pass. When he looked away, I shot this.
I wanted a portrait, but this seems fitting. He just moved to Brooklyn, and the city is a world of possibilities. There’s what is behind him, but it’s what’s in front that matters.
