The Mermaid Tattoo

When I photographed my friend Katheryn whom I have photographed for many years she surprised me by coming into my studio with very short hair (at one time she had very long and beautiful hair). When she posed for me she exposed a mermaid tattoo. I have lived in Canada, from my native Buenos Aires and a long period in Mexico, from 1975 so I have learned the Canadian way. A writer friend of mine, Les Wiseman told me once, “Don’t ask. If they want to tell you they will.”

So I did not ask.
